In terms of database content, we can consiter
- ascii series of chars like words, e.t.c.
- link that points to images, videos e.t.c. that are in dirs
- mayby binary objects, images, video e.t.c.
- mayby tables used for cache
- and more.
So the database can contain data or/and links to data, which actually is information in normalized form to databases like Oracle, MySQL.
The raw information must be formated in order to be stored in a DB.
