Both are good

certification means that you know the specific material (theory)
projects means that you can implement this theory

But if you have many projects and a few years in the market you DO NOT NEED certification.

A certification is good when you are new in the area of knowledge or when the company asks it for its portofolio.

Are projects or certifications better on aggregate to demonstrate your Excel abilities?
