Many non IT people are WordPress Devs.
Many of them now are developing Plugins and other Themes (become programmers).
If you are a programmer, it is good to learn
- PHP
- CodIgniter in order to learn MVC
- Laravel which is the king of frameworks
and then follow one of
- Java
- JS
- Python
for a lot of money
