I was before some years Oracle DBA (OCA). Well from my knowledge
- You can not use EMC on another storage DB duplication
- You do not have the speed of SSD
- You must have in different FS the data files and the index files
- or the very Big data files in separate disks
- Traditional FS is very much tasted so are secure, and more simple
- Maybe you can not find new disks in case of disk failure
- and more
