Better the word to be a category, but it is also good. I think the Title and Metadata help the SEO. There are some points for SEO like:

use the Yoast plugin or another SEO plugin
see the Google Trends or another resource on what is in demand to use in keywords
include keywords to the title, Metadata descr, paragraph titles
have HTTPS
use some articles as main and others to link to them
tune the site to be fast loaded
optimize the database, maybe with phpMYadmin
and more
